Kyle Cooke wasn’t a fan of hosting until recently.
Cooke, 43, set the record straight on why West Wilson had never been to his and estranged wife Amanda Batula’s apartment until after filming the season 10 Summer House reunion via Instagram Threads on Thursday, June 18.
A fan questioned, “Ppl have been saying West’s betrayal of Kyle was massive because of their close friendship … If West and Kyle were so close tho, why WOULDN’T West have been to their apt? Why wouldn’t their dog know him? Is that not a requirement for best-friendship?”
Cooke hilariously took matters into his own hands and responded.
“I couldn’t invite ANY friends over for years due to the embarrassing state of our apartment,” he replied.
Kyle Cooke Says Ciara ‘Had Evidence’ of West and Amanda Romance
Wilson’s first visit to Cooke’s apartment was during Summer House’s surprise The Aftermath episode, which aired earlier this month. Wilson met Cooke to discuss his romance with Batula, 34, after things were left unclear at the reunion. (Batula has since moved out into her own space.)
Cooke previously opened up about Batula having living habits that were below his standards during season 10 of the Bravo show.

“There’s so many things that Amanda and I need to talk about,” Cooke said at a bar while chatting with Wilson, 31, Jesse Solomon and KJ Dillard. “She smokes weed every single night. My apartment smells like a frat house and it looks like a frat house because she’s chaotically living,” he explained.
The camera then cut to their apartment and showed dirty ashtrays, piles of clothing and more. “I can’t even hire a cleaning company,” he added. “There’s too much s***. It’s like the series of the hoarders.”
Following Cooke and Batula’s January split announcement, she’s been exploring a romance with Wilson, who is her close friend Ciara Miller’s ex.

Batula moved out of her and Cooke’s apartment in fall 2025, which was documented on Summer House’s spinoff series, In the City. She signed a one-year lease to try and work on their relationship with distance.
Earlier this month, Cooke opened up to People about living without Batula, sharing, “I mean, look, it allowed me to get a cleaner into the apartment, and get a new couch and turn things around.” When asked if all of her belongings were “out” of his apartment now, Cooke replied, “Ironically, no. I’m trying to be as patient as can be but I think my patience has run out.” He quipped, “I think she has a boyfriend who can come over and probably help pack up a car. I will not be there.”
