Noah Kahan publicly apologized to fans for canceling a huge concert at Citi Field in Queens, New York.
“I just feel horrible, and I know people will see this and I just want you to know I’m really sorry. You deserve better than that,” Kahan, 29, told fans from the stage at Citi Field on Sunday, July 19, reports People.
The “Stick Season” singer spoke to fans one night after he was forced to cancel the first of two concerts at the venue at the last minute due to inclement weather issues.
Ticket-holders first received an advisory message from Citi Field on Saturday, July 18, warning that organizers were trying to wait out a storm. As a result, the doors wouldn’t be open until 7.30 p.m. ET while support sets from Gigi Perez and Annabelle Dinda were called off.

As showtime neared, Citi Field officially cancelled the show outright due to safety concerns.
“This was a very difficult decision to make, but the first priority is always to keep everyone safe,” the venue announced via X on Saturday.
Kahan was able to move forward with his second show at Citi Field on Sunday, where he took time to address frustration over the previous night’s cancellation.
“If you know me, I’ve been touring for about nine years and I’ve probably played at least 500 shows,” he said. “I’ve canceled six in my life — it’s only ever been when we cannot do anything else but cancel the show. I know you guys are all here, but I don’t expect any sympathy at all.”
The musician later touched on his team’s decision to cancel the first show outright instead of finding a way to reschedule the concert.
“I’m so f***ing sorry for the folks that sat all day out in the rain and traveled,” he said. “I’ve been thinking about you guys, and I’m really sorry. And I promise you, I would play in a f***ing volcano, the hole of a volcano for y’all. I’m so sorry.”

He added, “I promise you we did everything, everything we could. Weird s*** to try to reschedule it, and I’m sorry … I have sympathy for the folks that missed out.”
Kahan later thanked fans via Instagram who’d turned up for his second night at the Queens venue.
“New York that was one for the ages. I can’t believe I get to hang out with you guys,” he wrote alongside a carousel of photos.
Kahan kicked off his Great Divide Tour on June 11 in Orlando, Florida. He will next headline at Nationals Park in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday, July 22. (The Great Divide Tour is set to wrap up in Paris at Accor Arena on December 7.)
