Former Bachelor producer Julie LaPlaca reacted to the news that Peter Weber and his girlfriend have baby twins on the way.
“Some people were concerned about my wellbeing after the recent baby news in Bachelor Nation,” Julie, 41, wrote via Instagram on Tuesday, September 15, seemingly referring to Peter’s relationship update. “Here to say I’m alive and well!! Sending you all love on this magical day! 💖💖💖💖.”
Julie’s post included a video with a montage of social media comments about her potential response before she emerged from nature. In the clip, Julie frolicked around while in a floral dress. She also stopped to mediate and hug a tree.
“Sending love,” the clip read as she blew a kiss to the camera.
‘Bachelor’ Producer Julie LaPlaca Reveals Peter Weber’s Reaction to Her Book
Julie’s video comes more than a week after Peter, 34, announced that he and his new girlfriend, Jadeyn Carr, are expecting twins. (Peter and Jadeyn debuted their relationship in August.)
“1 + 1 = 4 ♥️,” the couple captioned a series of maternity photos.
Peter and Julie, meanwhile, have a lot of history. Julie worked on several seasons of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette and notably formed a close bond with Peter during his season as the franchise’s lead. When The Bachelor’s 24th season aired in 2020, Peter proposed to Hannah Ann Sluss, but their engagement was short-lived. He briefly reunited with runner-up Madi Prewett before they ultimately split again.
Earlier this year, Julie released her memoir, The Love Producer, and claimed that her and Peter’s connection took a romantic turn after his season wrapped filming. Julie alleged that they hooked up several times — even spending a night together shortly before Peter was spotted reconnecting with his fifth runner-up, Kelley Flanagan, in 2020.
Peter spoke out against Julie’s book allegations in a statement to TMZ in July.

“I just find it ironic that Julie is coming out with a book all about finding your truth and searching for love, when the entire time I was trying to do just that on my season of The Bachelor, with her as my main confidant and guide throughout the process, her actions said otherwise,” Peter said at the time.
He also questioned how Julie’s position as his producer affected power dynamics in their relationship.
“I am by no means a victim in all of this. I’m a grown man who is responsible for all of my actions, and I know that,” he continued. “That being said, going through an experience like I did involved a certain level of trust being given to people I really didn’t know that much about at the time.”
