Jessie James Decker’s Kids Show Off Their Abs Again on ‘Fall Break’

Jessie James Decker and her husband Eric Decker‘s three oldest children once again showed off their abs on the family’s “fall break.”

On Wednesday, October 21, Jessie, 38, shared a carousel of photos via Instagram from her recent vacation in Florida, where the entire Decker clan posed for a family photo at the beach. (Eric and Jessie share four children: Vivianne Rose, 12, Eric Jr. a.k.a. “Bubby,” 11, Forrest Bradley, 8, and Denver Calloway, 2.)

In their vacation photos, the Deckers can be seen enjoying the attractions at Walt Disney World, where they tried to rack up high scores on the Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin ride. The whole family got together for another fun snapshot at the theme park, this time joined by Mickey Mouse.

Jessie and Eric, 39, have faced both criticism and praise from their social media followers over the years for showing off their older kids’ abs. A controversy initially ignited in October 2022 when the Deckers posted a photo of the kids flexing on a beach day.

At the time, Instagram commenters levied multiple criticisms at the Deckers, accusing them of either overtraining their kids or possibly photoshopping abs onto them for social media engagement.

“When I posted the pix of our vacation and included the kids being silly flexing on the beach on our thanksgiving trip I had NO clue it would get the reaction it did,” Jessie replied via Instagram in November 2022. “But being accused of photoshopping abs on my kids (I can’t help but laugh) or … the polar opposite over ‘overtraining’ our kids makes me realize how bizarre our world has gotten regarding the body and what’s normal and what’s not.”

Jessie argued that the real issue was critics finding something wrong with muscle definition on children who compete in athletics. (Vivianne is a gymnast while Eric Jr. plays football and Forrest is a dancer.)

“We preach about body positivity and acceptance but my kids having a mass amount of genetic and built muscle from athletics is ‘weird’?” Jessie noted. “I want to raise my kids to feel proud of their bodies and hard work from either Vivi’s elite competitive gymnastics to Eric Jr wanting to be like dad as an NFL receiver to little Forrest who spends hours dancing his heart out.”

She added, “Let’s not pick and choose what we normalize regarding bodies and be accepting of all people and children. If we wanna do ‘better’ then do better. I’m proud of my children and encourage them to live their dreams. So we’ll see y’all at the 2032 Olympics, and wearing Bubbys jersey in the stands and dancing at Forrests rock concert.”

The same month, Jessie fired back when an Instagram user complained that her kids’ bodies “don’t look right.”

“It’s a sad world we live in today when having healthy fit kids who are super active, play sports [and] build muscle naturally is ‘weird,’” the musician replied.

Speaking exclusively to Us in January 2023, Jessie admitted she was blown away that there was even a debate over her children’s physical fitness.

“I think if anything I was like, ‘This is so wild.’ My kids are athletic, they are outside and genetics have a big play. Like, my siblings [Sydney Rae Bass and John James] had six packs when we were kids and so did Eric and his sister,” she told Us. “They were just genetics and my kids are extremely active and I’m not gonna apologize for it. There are a lot of times where I’m not gonna speak up about things, but they’re my kids and I’m a mama bear.”

The Deckers have since largely ignored the chatter on social media as they have continued sharing memorable moments of all four kids on vacations and holidays.
