Jesse Ridgway shared a private moment from the night after his wife Ashley Ridgway’s abortion procedure amid ongoing backlash.
In the video shared via Facebook on Monday, June 8, Ashley, 31, fought back tears while relaxing in bed and receiving a care package.
“Was this your parents? That’s really sweet,” Ashley shared in the video before reading a note from her inlaws. “It says, ‘Life is tough but so are you. This bracelet stands for the waves of life you’ve been through. … You can’t stop the waves but you can learn to ride them.’”
Jesse, 33, shared the clip as the couple continues to receive criticism after choosing to terminate her pregnancy due to a fetal Down syndrome diagnosis.

“Her family has been nowhere to be found. Some even going as far as joining in on the bandwagon hate PUBLICLY, kicking her while she’s down at her lowest point,” Jesse claimed via a Facebook post on Monday, June 8. “She has received text messages from her family accusing me of abuse and that I’m brainwashing her…issuing ultimatums that she needs to LEAVE ME IMMEDIATELY. Audacious s*** that will have your head-spinning because of the delusion and lack of consideration.”
In comparison, Jesse shared a video of a basket of gifts Ashley received from her in-laws after she had a procedure to end her pregnancy.
“Downright disgusting gossip and s***-talking amongst important people in her life as if she’s not even blood. No backbone, just cowardice as they accuse me of making the decision and controlling/manipulating her over all the years of being together,” Jesse continued. “We’ve put up with a lot of s***, but when it’s your own family exercising their bitterness and turning their backs when it matters the most, it really reveals everything about their character.”
Jesse first revealed on June 3 that Ashley had decided to end her pregnancy. The decision came after the couple discovered that the baby’s fetus had Down syndrome. (According to the Mayo Clinic, the condition occurs when a person has an extra copy of chromosome 21. People with Down syndrome often have developmental challenges.)
“The choice was not made lightly,” Jesse wrote via his Instagram Story. “We really appreciate all of the personal stories that you guys shared with us, especially the unconditional support we receive from fans with no matter what we decided.”
Although some followers have been encouraging, the couple revealed that they started sleeping next to a gun because of alleged death threats.
“My wife is the sweetest and strongest woman I know, the last thing she deserves is to be treated this way,” Jesse shared in his latest Facebook post. “My heart goes out to all of the women who have had to keep their abortions private for fear of judgment from friends/family, it’s the last thing you should be dealing with when you’re already confronting the hardest/worst of times.”

Jesse, known as @McJuggerNuggets online, is best known for creating long-running, immersive web series like “The Psycho Series” and “The Devil Inside.” Over his career, the influencer has amassed more than 2 billion views and 4 million subscribers on YouTube.
Although the influencer has received backlash from some followers for his family’s decision to terminate a pregnancy, Jesse vowed to continue sharing his reality.
“It’s why I will continue to speak out. It’s why sharing is better than hiding,” he said. “The truth may be hard, but at least you’re living freely. Do NOT ever let the opinions of others define your life or else you will be living a life that’s not YOURS.”
