Kelly Stafford unabashedly let loose while watching the Los Angeles Rams secure a crucial victory on their home field.
The wife of Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford responded after a video of her dancing inside her suite at SoFi Stadium from last week’s game hit social media.
“Welp…my dance moves are embarrassing,” Stafford wrote via Instagram Story on Tuesday, October 29, “but this is the first game ive been tipsy at since moving to L.A.”
Kelly added, “Dance moves bad, but level of anxiety was low…I’ll take it.”
Kelly Stafford Says Matthew Stafford Will ‘Sneak a Peek’ at Cheerleaders
Matthew, 36, was traded to the Rams in March 2021 after spending the first 12 seasons of his NFL career with the Detroit Lions. The Rams defeated the Vikings 30-29 in the Thursday, October 24 showdown, the team’s second consecutive victory.
On the Tuesday episode of her “The Morning After” podcast, Kelly — who shares four daughters with her husband of 9 years — explained what led to things getting so lit.
“That game was so much fun and I did drink, which I normally don’t do,” Kelly told podcast producer Kyra Stevens.
Kyra, who was also in attendance at the game, said it was “so much fun” and expressed hope that Kelly would drink again for the Rams’ November 11 home game against the Miami Dolphins.
“I think I might,” Kelly said. “I think we’ll tailgate and do that.”
Kelly threw a tailgate party prior to the Vikings game, which included “some of the players’ wives and girlfriends and moms” playing drinking games like flip cup before entering the stadium.
“People just relaxed a little, including me,” Kelly said of the pregame festivities. “I wasn’t so stressed.”
Kelly Stafford Reacts to Hubby Matt Stafford’s TV Debut: ‘You Are Hot’
Kelly recently opened up about how difficult it can be for her to watch her husband get hit on the field — and argued that he doesn’t get the same treatment when it comes to roughing the passer penalties as other quarterbacks in the league.
“I will say one thing, Matthew doesn’t tend to get those calls,” Kelly said on “The Morning After” on October 8. “I think there’s quarterbacks that draw those calls. Matthew’s known as, like, the tough guy around the league. In my mind, I’m going, ‘Well, they think he’s tough enough to handle it.’”
Kelly added, “I know when he comes home, the bruises, the swelling, it’s a lot right now. He’s not young. Recovering from those hits can get tough.”
After their bye week, the Rams return to action on Monday, November 11 against the Dolphins — where Kelly teased more dance moves might be in store.
