Sister Wives’ Meri Gets ‘Bitch Lessons’ From BFF Jenn to Stand Up to Kody

Meri Brown is done with her “nice girl era” after getting pointers from BFF Jenn Sullivan on how to stand up to her ex-husband, Kody Brown, following their split.

“How much longer until you just realize that he’s an ass,” Jenn asks Meri, 54, in Us Weekly’s exclusive sneak peek at the Sunday, October 26, episode of Sister Wives, referring to Meri’s ex-husband, Kody, 56.

Meri — who confirmed her split from Kody in January 2023 — admits that she is hoping to be done playing nice with Kody in “six weeks” as the exes continue to hash out the details over selling their family’s Coyote Pass property. (The exes sold their land in April, according to multiple reports.)

Jenn, however, reveals in the clip that the time is now to teach Meri to fight back and stand strong against Kody, who she thinks is still in control of her friend despite their separation.

“It’s time for you to end the nice girl era. Like it’s not benefiting you, it’s only benefiting him,” Jenn tells Meri, asking, “So then why are you doing it?”

Meri confesses, “Because I don’t want to be a bitch!” Jenn then invites her best friend to “join me on the dark side” before giving her “bitch lessons” on how to clap back at Kody.

“Repeat after me. ‘You do not control me,’” Jenn tells Meri, who repeats the phrase but is arguably too nice about it. Jenn instructs her to have “less smile” when she delivers the line.

“Oh, you don’t control me. … Bitch!” Meri quips before repeating the next phrase, “Get your s*** together.”

When Meri shouts, “Comb your f***ing hair, Kody,” at Jenn’s request the two are both taken aback by her power.

“That one felt like it came deep from your soul. I’m very proud of you,” Jenn gushes.

Meri doesn’t stop there, saying with sass, “Bitch, where’s my money?” asking Jenn if that had enough conviction behind it.

“Actually, it kind of gave me anxiety,” Jenn reveals while smiling at her longtime friend. “It gave me a little anxiety saying it,” Meri admits.

Meri Brown Texted Kody About Terminating Their Marriage — And Was Ghosted

Throughout her time on Sister Wives, Meri has had a confidant in Jenn. Once Meri finally left Kody after more than 30 years together, Jenn helped her move from Arizona to Utah and fix up her mom’s bed and breakfast to run on her own.

The pair have since continued to give fans a glimpse at their friendship via social media. Jenn has also become a fixture on season 20 of Sister Wives, popping up in several scenes with Meri now that the cast is so spread out.

Earlier this season, Jenn took part in a paint party at Meri’s house where their group of friends ended up painting eggplants and throwing shade at Kody in solidarity.

Kody, meanwhile, has been focused on his relationship with wife Robyn Brown as fans watched them move from their Flagstaff, Arizona, home into a new pad.

In addition to Meri leaving Kody, he has split from two of his three other wives in recent years. Christine Brown announced their split in November 2021 after more than 25 years of plural marriage. Janelle Brown confirmed in December 2022 that she and Kody had also separated after nearly three decades.

Kody and Robyn, 47, who legally wed in 2014 following a spiritual marriage four years prior are still together.
