Amanda “Mandy” Karolkiewicz admitted she “shoved” her husband, Kristopher Karolkiewicz, after she learned he cheated on her in a Reddit post uploaded two years before he killed her and their six children in an apparent murder-suicide.
In a subreddit titled “AsOneAfterInfidelity,” Mandy, 39, responded to a thread asking others if they got “physical” with their partners after learning they cheated.
“Yes. I shoved him. I don’t feel bad still,” Mandy wrote in the thread. “He towers over me and destroyed me mentally. It felt like I was being assaulted and needed to fight back.”
She added, “I think it’s a fight or flight thing.”

Mandy opened up about Kristopher’s affair with an intern in several Reddit posts shared in 2024.
In one post, Mandy explained that she met Kristopher, 47, when she was an intern at the company he worked at.
After noting that he was “divorced and older” than she was, they went on to get married. “Fast forward ten years and five kids, he was cheating with the intern again — the same age I was when I was the intern,” she wrote.
“After about a year of self-loathing, I remember crying and looking at myself in the mirror and realizing how [expletive] it was that I was the one who was living so miserably because of what he did. I finally realized that I had been the only person who has ever showed up for myself my whole entire life,” she added.
Mandy added that she only stayed in the relationship and worked to fix it for the sake of their six children.
“I kept telling myself, ‘I love my kids more than I hate my husband right now.’ They have no idea — I faked it ’till we made it. We’re in a much better place 4.5 years out, but it’s still a fight to stay in a healthy place,” she allegedly wrote.
Mandy also detailed how the affair negatively impacted the way she viewed herself.
“I was five babies in, and was actually not in bad physical shape, but I was in the trenches of little kids, and just couldn’t be who I was before,” she recalled of where she was at when Kristopher cheated on her.
Mandy said that the affair made her insecure and she used Kristopher’s work bonus to get new clothes, Botox, an Invisalign and hair extensions in order to make herself feel “pretty.”
She said she also “lost tons of weight during the aftermath” of the affair, but “never felt better” and “still internally blamed myself for not being ‘enough’ of what he wanted.’”

Mandy’s posts have caught the attention of the public after police confirmed Kristopher shot and killed her and their children inside of their Michigan home on Friday, July 24. He then set the house on fire in an apparent murder-suicide.
