A former teacher in Texas was arrested after he was accused of exchanging nude photos with a student.
The McLennan County Sheriff’s Office arrested Dylan Goforth, a former West ISD teacher and coach, on Wednesday, June 17, amid allegations that he had an improper relationship with a student, according to KWTX.
Goforth, 34, was arrested after an investigation was launched into the allegations, which began in January.
The sheriff’s office said that Goforth was involved in “inappropriate electronic communications with a minor-aged student he met while employed as a teacher and coach in McLennan County.”

The investigation revealed that Goforth and the 16-year-old student had been talking through social media, and the sheriff’s office said that their communications were inappropriate and even involved the exchange of nude images.
Goforth and the student’s explicit communications initially began on Instagram, according to an arrest affidavit viewed by the outlet. They then allegedly moved their communications to Snapchat, where Goforth sent images to the student and he discussed his sexual experiences with them.
Goforth was also accused of telling the student that he had been with men sexually and even participated in “threesomes,” according to the affidavit. The conversations between Goforth and the student escalated into Goforth sharing pictures of his penis with the victim.
As the investigation continued, authorities learned that Goforth had also been in communication with other minor students. However, police said it’s not currently known if any of his communications with other students will warrant additional charges.

It was also learned that Goforth had an account on a website “geared towards Bondage-Dominance-Sadism-Masochism (BDSM), fetish, and kink communities,” where he posted explicit photos of himself, per the affidavit.
After the allegations were made against him, Goforth moved from a school in West ISD to a school in Travis County. However, KWTX reported that records indicate he has been working for Pepsi Co. and living in Austin, Texas.
Goforth was arrested by the McLennan County Sheriff’s Office and the Fugitive Apprehension & Special Tasks Team on charges of an improper relationship between an educator and a student. The crime is a second-degree felony in the state of Texas.
Goforth is currently being held in the McLennan County Jail and is awaiting a hearing for his bond to be set.
It’s not currently clear if Goforth has entered a plea or retained legal counsel following his arrest. The McLennan County Sheriff’s Office did not immediately respond to Us Weekly’s request for comment regarding the case.
