The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Meredith Marks is still in contact with show alum Jen Shah.

While appearing on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen earlier this week, Meredith, 52, confirmed she recently had a phone conversation with Jen, 51.

“Jen called me a few weeks ago from prison,” Meredith revealed to host Andy Cohen. “And it’s my first call from a federal penitentiary. She told me I could check it off my bucket list, and she sounds great.”

According to the jewelry designer, she and Jen had a “quick call” that lasted only 10 minutes.

“It’s recorded [and] it gets cut off, but she sounds like she’s doing very well,” Meredith said.

Jen’s friend and assistant Murilo Bueno previously told Us Weekly that Meredith was the only RHOSLC cast member who had reached out amid Jen’s sentence. Jen and Meredith were two of the OG Bravo stars on the Utah spinoff alongside Mary Cosby, Lisa Barlow, Whitney Rose and Heather Gay.

“The only person that has reached out to me asking how she was doing was Meredith,” Murilo exclusively told Us in May 2023. “Other than that, no one has reached out — to me at least — and I’m pretty sure no one has with her as well.”

‘RHOSLC’ Alum Jen Shah’s Prison Sentence Reduced for 2nd Time

Jen was arrested in March 2021 alongside assistant Stuart Smith for their alleged roles in a telemarketing scheme that defrauded hundreds of victims over the age of 55. While Jen and Stuart both initially pleaded not guilty, the Bravo alum changed her plea one year later.

Us confirmed in January 2023 that Jen was sentenced to six and a half years in prison with five years of supervised release. She began her sentence in February 2023, which was reduced for a second time last month. She is scheduled to be released from Texas’ Bryan Prison Camp on December 19, 2027.

Jen has since been candid about her time behind bars, releasing a series of journal entries in March 2023.

“I keep thinking this is insane, completely ridiculous. Why am I here? I mean, I know why I’m here, but this just feels like someone like me doesn’t belong here. I’ve never been in trouble before,” she wrote at the time. “Then I instantly stop myself from going down this self-destructive path of thinking. I am here because of my bad decisions. I am here because I did this to myself and there is no one to blame but me.”

Jen has also tried to stay busy by making friends with other inmates, hosting a “Shah-Mazing Abs” fitness class and even organizing a Real Housewives–inspired play.
